The Blood of Dawnwalker crash and stutter fix
Start with the symptom, not a copied tweak list. The developer currently lists Full Screen for Windowed or Borderless stutter and gives separate, higher-risk guidance for some crashes during shader compilation.

Stutter and crashing are not one bug.
Use Full Screen for the documented Windowed/Borderless stutter. Treat shader-compilation crashes separately; a BIOS update is only relevant to the official symptom and needs your motherboard maker's instructions.

Choose the symptom before changing anything
Documented stutter workaround: Full Screen
If the game stutters in Windowed or Borderless mode, switch to Full Screen. This is the developer's listed workaround; it is the first test because it is reversible and directly matches the reported symptom.
- Install the latest game update, then open the game's display settings.
- Change Windowed or Borderless to Full Screen.
- Restart the game if the setting does not apply immediately.
- Retest the same traversal route or camera movement where stutter occurred, using the same resolution and preset.
Shader-compilation crash: a narrow, high-risk path
A BIOS update can carry real risk if power fails, the wrong file is used or your board's process is not followed. The developer links it for some shader-compilation crashes; it is not a catch-all response to launch crashes.
If you are not comfortable with firmware maintenance, stop at the documented symptom, keep the crash details and wait for a game patch or official support reply. Do not follow a random BIOS file or video for a different motherboard.
Safe checks for startup and repeatable crashes
Verify installed filesUse your storefront's verification tool once. It is low-risk and rules out a damaged local install, but is not guaranteed to fix a game bug.
Remove one variableTemporarily disable overlays, injectors or unsupported mods, then retry. Change one thing at a time so a result means something.
Write down the failing pointNote the platform, storefront, game version, GPU driver, exact scene and whether the same save fails at the same moment.
Do not stack fixesA driver change, config edit, cache deletion and firmware update done together cannot show which change helped—and can create a new problem.
Performance issue versus an underpowered setup
Low FPS is not automatically a launch bug. Compare your CPU, GPU, RAM, VRAM, resolution, upscaler mode and preset against the official PC requirements. A useful report includes frame-time behavior and location, rather than only a GPU name or a single average FPS number.
